Carlsbad 1
This is one of the formations inside Carlsbad Caverns. As much as I'm generally opposed to the way Carlsbad is paved and way too humanized, this is the only way to get people into an area most people would otherwise never see. People know about Carlsbad, but noone knows about Slaughter Canyon, Parks Ranch, or any of the MANY others in the area. There's actually about 30 or so KNOWN cave systems in the Carlsbad National Caverns area. Most require you to bring your own safety gear, but not all. Slaughter canyon requires you bring a flashlight, and is wonderful to see some of the things in slaughter that you won't find anywhere else. Curious? Live in the area? Go see it.
